Oracle Park’s Larry Baer and the Giants Prepare for Full-Capacity Reopening at Welcome Home Weekend Against the A’s on June 25

For baseball fans in San Francisco, June will mark a long-awaited return to the city’s Oracle Park, as the SF Giants home stadium reopens at full capacity in response to the State of California’s recent announcement that large sporting venues are now authorized to reopen at full capacity across the state without the need for Covid-19 social distancing measures.

SF Oracle Park will welcome fans at full capacity beginning on June 25th at the Oracle Park Welcome Home Weekend event as the Giants confront their neighboring rivals the Oakland A’s in a game that is certain to mark a celebratory occasion across the entire Bay Area. Giants President and CEO Larry Baer expressed the team’s excitement at finally being able to offer a more traditional ballgame experience to the Giants’ fanbase after the challenges experienced during the past year as Oracle Park and the Giants prepare for the grand reopening.

“California’s reopening on June 15 is an important milestone in our state’s recovery from the challenging, and for many, life changing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic,” stated Larry Baer in a recent press release. “We have been working closely with the San Francisco Department of Health to safely implement these reopening guidelines at Oracle Park and we are excited to welcome even more fans to Oracle Park next month.

Welcome Home Weekend against the A’s promises to be an exciting and festive event as the Giants celebrate the park’s reopening at full capacity. In addition to the game against the Oakland A’s, the weekend-long festivities will feature Post-Game Fireworks on Friday, June 25, as well as Yaz Bubblehead presented by Bank of America for the first 15,000 fans on Saturday, June 26, and Kids Cap presented by Dignity Health for the first 5,000 fans aged 14 and under on Sunday, June 27.
